All Out Africa - Marine Research Unit, Tofo, Mozambique. All Out Africa have been working on marine research in Tofo for over 6 years, focusing on large marine fauna like whale sharks, mantas, humpback whales, dolphins, turtles, small eye sting rays and more, as well as essential data collection on reef health, fishing and changes in reef dynamics. AOA Marine Research Unit draws together an ideal symbiosis of international researchers keen for collected data to analyse and volunteers keen to collect that data under the supervision of our resident qualified project scientists. We also work hand-in-hand with the local community with regards to resource development, monitoring, education and stakeholder feedback initiatives towards our goal of developing a sustainable africa. We began recording the diversity of the local estuary in June 2013 and sampling the seahorse population there, about which little is known.
